Friday: Nunawading 'Burwood One' Spectres vs Eltham Wildcats 

Nunawading had a convincing 89-72 win over Eltham at the Nunawading Basketball Centre.

Kathleen Scheer starred for the Spectres with 18 points, six rebounds and eight assists, while Rebecca Pizzey and Eliza Chilcott combined for 32 points. Chelsie Schweers starred for Eltham with 24 points, three rebounds and two assists.

The Spectres led for the entire game, courtesy of a 29-13 run in the first quarter. Eltham hit back with 31 points in the second term to reduce the margin to six points at half time.

Nunawading used their dominance in the paint to increase their lead to 12 points in the third quarter, before a 16-11 run in the fourth sealed the win.

The Spectres had 20 offensive rebounds and 58 points in the paint. They were also dominant on the fast break, outscoring the Wildcats 9-2.
