nunawading spectres senior progRam

The Nunawading Spectres were a foundation member of Australia's National Basketball League in 1979, having dominated Australia's premier club competition, the V.A.B.A. for many years. In the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL), the Spectres were a powerhouse, winning 6 Championships through the 1980's and featuring some of Australia's most recognisable basketball figures.

Today, our senior teams continue to compete at an elite level in the;

  • South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL), and
  • Big V (Victorian Youth Championship U23)

Around the country, the SEABL is considered Australia’s second tier national competition featuring both men’s and women’s conferences. The SEABL is managed and delivered by Basketball Australia, with teams from Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales, Canberra, Queensland and South Australia entered into a South and East Conference.
