MELBOURNE – The Nunawading Spectres have announced that they will be returning 6\u20195\u201d Australian Jacinta Vandenberg for the 2021 NBL1 season, adding to the Spectres frontcourt rotation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re excited to welcome Jacinta back,\u201d Nunawading Spectres Head Coach Paul Flynn said.<\/p>\n
\u201cJacinta and I have worked together over a long period of time, we know exactly what she can bring to this team the impact she can for us across the NBL1 season.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cShe reads the game well, anchors the defensive end and provides excellent rim protection. In a season where it has been difficult to secure frontcourt personnel, we see Jacinta playing a very important role for us.\u201d<\/p>\n
Vandenberg last played for the Spectres in the 2018 season before moving to Italian club Andros Palermo followed by a season with the Rockhampton Cyclones. Now based back in Melbourne, the former Oregon Duck is thrilled to be back with the Spectres.<\/p>\n
