{"id":2086,"date":"2021-02-26T12:46:31","date_gmt":"2021-02-26T01:46:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nunawadingbasketball.com.au\/?p=2086"},"modified":"2021-02-26T12:46:31","modified_gmt":"2021-02-26T01:46:31","slug":"spectres-add-davidson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nunawadingbasketball.com.au\/hi\/spectres-add-davidson\/","title":{"rendered":"Spectres Add Davidson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MELBOURNE &#8211; The Nunawading Spectres have announced today that the club has signed Melbourne Boomers representative and New Zealand international Penina Davidson.<\/p>\n<p>Davidson joins the Spectres on the back of three-seasons in the WNBL, first with the Adelaide Lightning then the Melbourne Boomers, playing alongside a number of her now Nunawading teammates in the recent WNBL Hub season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI trained with the girls last year between (WNBL) seasons and have wanted to play with them ever since,\u201d Davidson said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love the Melbourne lifestyle, so when the opportunity to stay and play in the NBL1 competition with this group of girls presented itself, I jumped at it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t wait to play for FlynnDog (Spectres Head Coach Paul Flynn), we\u2019ve built a really strong connection over the past couple of years at Boomers and I\u2019m looking forward to working with him more now at Nunawading.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Davidson has been a staple of the Tall Ferns (New Zealand National Team) program since 2013, making her senior international debut as a teenager.
