Nunawading Spectres U12-U18 Tryouts

Are you ready to take the next step in your basketball journey? Tryouts for the 2025/26 Nunawading Spectres representative program officially tip off this October — and we’re looking for athletes who are ready to rise to the challenge.

This professionally designed tryout schedule provides players with the best opportunity to showcase their talent while allowing our coaching and selection staff to identify the next wave of Nunawading Spectres athletes ready to compete in the Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL).

Registration is essential.

Tryout Dates & Draft Schedule

Our Nunawading Spectres Tryout process is structured in Five Stages, with the athlete pool narrowed at each step. Each Age Group will be scheduled on court once in each Stage.
A full schedule with confirmed venues and times will be published shortly.
For planning purposes, please refer to the current draft schedule below:

Stage 1; Friday 3 October, Saturday 4 October, Sunday 5 October

Stage 2; Tuesday 7 October, Thursday 9 October

Stage 3; Friday 10 October, Sunday 12 October

Stage 4; Tuesday 14 October, Thursday 16 October

Stage 5; Friday 17 October

Team Selections Announced: Saturday 18 October 2025
Training Commences: Sunday 19 October 2025

Age Group Eligibility (Based on Year of Birth)
Athletes must meet the age requirements above to be eligible for their age group.

Additional Information

As the Victorian Junior Basketball League reviews its competition offerings, so too does Nunawading Basketball.
Tryouts for the following additional programs will be announced separately:

• Development Squad (U10)
• Regional Development League (RDL U11)
• U20 Teams

Please note: the above tryout schedule applies only to U12–U18 teams.
