Nunawading Basketball is delighted to confirm that Amy Quick\u00a0will return as Head Coach of the Nunawading Spectres Big V Youth Women (U23)\u00a0program for the 2026 season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Quick took the reins in 2025 having served as an assistant across both the Youth Women and U18 Girls programs. In her first year at the helm, she guided a young Spectres group, featuring no less than seven U18 VJBL athletes, to a 7-15 record, laying the groundwork for what promises to be an incredibly exciting future.<\/span><\/p>\n

Quick’s return is part of Nunawading Basketball\u2019s broader commitment to building a bona fide performance pathway for female athletes, whether they are pursuing collegiate opportunities, stepping up into NBL1 South competition, or aspiring toward professional careers in the WNBL.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to have Amy return to lead our Spectres Youth Women\u2019s team,\u201d\u00a0said Paul Flynn,\u00a0General Manager \u2013 Representative, Brand & Commercial.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAmy is big on relationships, and understands what will best serve her players as they make the progressions required to continue on their pathway. We know that Amy learned a lot in her first season at the helm, and those learnings will be applied to continue to grow and add value to the program.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs a player, Amy has achieved what many of our athletes aspire toward. We have every confidence that she is the best person to guide and develop our emerging talent.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Quick said she was excited to continue the journey with this group and committed to building a culture where athletes can thrive.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m thrilled to be back as head coach next season. I look forward to continuing to develop our players both on and off the court. Building a culture of hard work, growth and connection is really important to me. I believe having the right people involved is what makes that culture thrive and I can\u2019t wait to see what this season has in store for our players.”<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLast season was a great step forward and an important building block for our program. The progress we made created real momentum I\u2019m confident we can build on that foundation and take another big step forward together next season.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The Spectres are set to build on the foundations laid in 2025, with a focus on long-term development and creating a clear pathway from juniors to seniors – a model that has produced sustained success for Nunawading Basketball.<\/span><\/p>\n
