The Nunawading Spectres didn\u2019t open their season under lights or in front of a crowd. They started on the road, in Tasmania, where early rounds tend to strip things back to what matters most. No noise, no comfort, just a group learning each other in real time.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was a strong beginning. The Spectres women returned home unbeaten, starting their campaign 2\u20130 with a level of composure and cohesion that suggests there is more to come. The men split their weekend, finishing 1\u20131, but showed enough across both games to indicate they will be firmly in the mix as the season unfolds.<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s no sense of arrival just yet. If anything, it feels like a starting point.<\/span><\/p>\n

That next step begins now.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both teams take the floor tonight in the opening leg of the GEBC Cup against Ringwood, a matchup that always carries a little extra edge. Familiar opponent, local rivalry, and an early opportunity to sharpen before attention turns to what many have been waiting for.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first home game of the NBL1 South season. Saturday against another local foe, the Waverley Falcons.<\/span><\/p>\n

For Nunawading, home is The Graveyard. It\u2019s a venue that has built a reputation over time, not just for the results produced there, but for the atmosphere that surrounds it. Membership includes priority entry to all Spectres NBL1 South home games at The Graveyard, ensuring supporters are there when the building comes to life. Members will also receive an official Spectres scarf, a staple across the winter months, along with exclusive merchandise discounts on game nights and access to partner offers throughout the season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond game night, the Inner Sanctum offers a deeper line of sight into the program, with a monthly e-newsletter featuring updates, interviews and behind the scenes content, as well as invitations to selected club events across the year.<\/span><\/p>\n
