Nunawading, Victoria – The Nunawading Spectres are excited to confirm the re-signing of captain and club stalwart Daniel Baxter for the 2026 NBL1 South season.
A starting five forward in 2025, the 29-year-old led from the front, averaging 5.48 points, 2.57 assists and 7.05 rebounds per game. A true Nunawading Basketball leader and club person, Baxter progressed through the pathway via the Ashwood Wolves before representing the Spectres at VJBL and Big V levels. He was part of the 2018 and 2019 Big V Youth Men Championship teams, as well as the Spectres’ 2019 NBL1 South Championship side.
Baxter said he is motivated heading into another season in red, white and blue.
“I’m excited for the 2026 season and feel hungrier than ever to achieve success at the top with this group.”
His re-signing ensures the Spectres retain strong leadership and continuity as they build toward the 2026 NBL1 South campaign.
