The Nunawading Spectres compete in the Youth stream of the Big V, showcasing the best U23 talent in Victoria, feeding into the programs NBL1 South team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Interested and suitably qualified coaches, please see position description and application instruction below.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Nunawading Basketball is home to the Melbourne East Basketball Association (MEBA) and its representative teams \u2013 the Nunawading Spectres.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The largest basketball association in Australia, Nunawading Basketball plays host to over 14,000 registered players, coaches, and officials in regular \/ weekly domestic competition. An assertive decision maker that solicits a high level of trust and commitment from others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Strong facilitator of critical actions by all involved, to ensure the program remains recognised as one of the best programs in Victoria at developing athletes, coaches and support staff.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Key Accountabilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Work cooperatively and collaboratively with the Representative Program, Coaching Staff and Nunawading Basketball representatives.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Lead the recruitment of appropriately skilled players, coaches and support staff who will contribute effectively to the program.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Plan and lead a program that supports individual player and team development with a focus on progressing players to the Nunawading Spectres NBL1 team and beyond.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Plan, schedule and conduct training; pre-season, in-season and post-season.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Ensure the fitness level of all players is maintained at a high standard appropriate to achieving selection to NBL1 level.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Attend all team \/ program commitments including scheduled club functions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Build positive relationships with all key stakeholders that can lead to team and program success.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Lead and develop strategies to compete successfully against other Big V programs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Contribute to the Nunawading Basketball development pathway.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Participate in appropriate Coach Development opportunities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Positively represent Nunawading Basketball in all interactions with the wider basketball community and in required media appearances.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Contribution to the Nunawading Basketball Pathway:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Be an astute and engaging leader who plays an influential role contributing to our association\u2019s pathway.
