Applications Now Open<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/h2>\n

Applications are now open for coaching appointments within the Nunawading Spectres Representative Program for the Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL) 2026\/2027 season.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Spectres are the representative teams of the Melbourne East Basketball Association – Australia’s largest basketball association. Each season, our coaches play a critical role in developing athletes, shaping team environments and contributing to one of Australia’s leading junior representative basketball programs.<\/span><\/p>\n

We’re seeking coaches who are passionate about athlete development, committed to continual learning and capable of positively influencing young people both on and off the court.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whether you’re an existing Spectres coach or looking to join the program for the first time, we encourage you to apply.<\/span><\/p>\n

Coaching at Nunawading<\/span><\/h2>\n

Coaching at Nunawading is about far more than preparing a team for Friday night.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our coaches are educators, mentors and leaders who help shape the experience of every athlete within the Spectres Representative Program. Every training session, every timeout and every conversation presents an opportunity to build confidence, develop resilience and help young people reach their potential.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are committed to creating an environment where coaches continue to develop alongside their athletes through collaboration, coach education, mentoring and continual improvement. In return, we expect our coaches to uphold the standards of the program, contribute positively to the broader coaching group and place the long-term development of athletes at the centre of everything they do.<\/span><\/p>\n
