Nunawading Basketball representative and current Southeastern University student-athlete Taylah Simmons, along with Aussie teammate Eliza West (Southern Peninsula) are both doing their bit to help out back home – the pair using SEU Fire Athletics website and social channels to raise awareness and much needed funds for those affected by the Australian bushfires.<\/p>\n

Both players also pledging to reach into their own pockets and donate.<\/p>\n Simmons pledging $2 per point she scores plus $2 per steal the team achieves, whilst West has pledged $5 per assist she dishes out. Amazing contributions for two student-athletes, even more-so when you consider Simmons is returning an average of 24.8 points per game including a 45-point haul last week against Keiser and three other routings where she has totaled over 30 points.
