Nunawading, Victoria- The Nunawading Spectres are excited to welcome Eliza Hollingsworth to our 2026 NBL1 South Women’s team.

Hollingsworth joins the Spectres from Pakenham’s Big V Championship side, where she averaged 15.42 points, 12.21 rebounds and 1.58 assists per game. The 6’3” forward progressed through the Basketball Victoria pathway, representing Vic Metro from 2016 to 2018 before earning a scholarship to the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence.

“Eliza brings experience, size, and a professional approach to everything she does. She’s a 6’3” stretch who can hit the glass, score efficiently, and communicate at a high level. I had the privilege of coaching her as a junior, and it’s exciting to see how far she’s come. I expect that she’ll have a big impact for us,” coach Paul Flynn said.

She went on to represent Australia at the U16 and U17 levels, before moving onto college basketball, playing in Division I of the NCAA for Gonzaga University. This opportunity saw her earn a starting position in her graduate year and be named in the All-West Coast Conference Second Team.

“Eliza has been in winning environments, where you have to compete every possession of every day. What stands out now is the maturity she has developed through her collegiate experience, along with her stops in both the NBL1 and Big V competitions. Her coming here makes us better from Day 1,” Flynn continued.
