Nunawading Basketball is proud to recognise 34 Spectres athletes selected to Basketball Victoria’s 2026/27 State Development Program (SDP) and National Performance Program (NPP).

The selections represent a significant achievement for the athletes, who have earned the opportunity to participate in Basketball Victoria’s development pathways alongside talented young basketballers from across the state.

Of the 34 Spectres athletes selected, 31 have been named in the Metro State Development Program, two in the Country State Development Program, and one in the Metro National Performance Program.

The selections reflect the commitment and hard work of the athletes, together with the contribution of the coaches, families and volunteers who continue to support their development.

Selection into Basketball Victoria’s development programs provides athletes with further opportunities to challenge themselves, learn from different coaches and environments, and continue their development within the Victorian basketball pathway.

For Nunawading Basketball, these selections are an encouraging reflection of the work being undertaken across our representative program. While individual recognition is something to celebrate, our focus remains on creating an environment where athletes are supported, challenged and encouraged to continue improving, both on and off the court.

We also acknowledge the important role played by coaches across the broader basketball community who have contributed to these athletes’ development over many years.

Congratulations to all 34 athletes on their selection. We look forward to following their continued development and wish them every success throughout their involvement in the programs.
