Nunawading Basketball and its wider community is saddened by the passing of Kent Lockhart, aged 59.

Kent played three season with the Eastside Spectres in the National Basketball League between 1989-1991, and was a driving force behind the Spectres NBL Grand Final appearance in 1991.

An All NBL First and Second Team player, Kent, originally from Palo Alto, California was drafted by the New York Knicks in 1985 before embarking on an international career.

Following his time with the Spectres in the NBL, Kent went on to play in the CBA (now NBL1) and was a much loved coach at both junior and senior levels.

Nunawading Basketball extends its deepest condolences to Kent’s family and friends during this difficult time. He will be remembered fondly and missed greatly.
