Nunawading Basketball will return its award-winning series of basketball camps during the Holiday period, designed to improve individual players’ fundamental skills, decision-making, and love of the game.

Nunawading Basketball is Australia’s leading player development program and we’re excited to extend an invitation for you to join the fun at one or more of our camp programs below.

All camps are designed by our professional coaching staff and tailored to cater to different stages of an athlete’s basketball development pathway.

All programs will be delivered at the home of hoops in Melbourne’s east, Nunawading Basketball Centre, located on  Burwood Highway.

Please see below the details of our new camps that have been added to the Holiday Schedule for 2024.

2-Day All-Star
Introducing two days of non-stop basketball this holiday season, our 2-day All-Star camp is designed for athletes aged between 11-16 who are looking for back-to-back days of jam-packed hoops. Day one will focus on individual skills and shooting, while day two will see athletes placed into teams where they will learn defensive concepts, and offensive systems and play 5v5 against other athletes at camp in allocated teams. 

Individual Skills Camp
Focusing on individual offensive skills, our individual offense camp focuses on 1V1 moves, shooting techniques, dribble moves, and footwork. Scheduled over three hours, our individual offense camp provides in-depth, technical detail and focuses on improving offensive skills. 

We encourage you to take extra care when registering for camps to ensure athletes are in the correct age groups. 

Week 1

Monday 23rd September: Beginners Camp (5 – 10 years) 

9:30am – 3:00pm

$65 per child per camp

Tuesday 24th September: Domestic & Rep Camp* (11 – 15) 

9:30am – 3:00pm

$65 per child per camp

*Must play either Domestic or Representative Basketball.

Wednesday 25th September: All Girls Camp (6 – 15) 

9:30am – 3:00pm

$65 per child per camp

Week 2

Monday 30th September: Beginners Camp (5 – 10 years) 

9:30am – 3:00pm

$65 per child per camp

Tuesday 1st October & Wednesday 2nd October: All Star (11 – 15 years) 

9:30am – 3:00pm

$65 per child per camp

Thursday 3rd October: Beginners Camp (5 – 10 years) 

9:30am – 3:00pm

Additional Information

• All camp participants are required to bring/organise their own lunch, snacks and water. We encourage all participants to bring plenty of healthy food given the level of activity taking place across the session and request you take into consideration the potential for other participants suffering from food allergies.
• The canteen facilities will be available during the camp schedule for snacks and small orders of hot food, subject to availability. Lunch orders must be placed the morning of camp during check-in.
• Vending machines are not available during the school holiday camps.
• Please wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing suitable for physical activity and non-marking basketball shoes.
• Participants must bring their own basketball.
• All camp participants must be collected by a parent / guardian at the conclusion of the session. Children will not be permitted to leave the venue without a parent / guardian.
• Parents / guardians are allowed to stay and watch but it is not essential.
• Please advise Nunawading Basketball administration of any medical conditions, allergies or any other information of importance including medical plans where required. We are not responsible for administering medication.

Credit Policy

Credits are available for the following instances:

• In cases of injury and/or illness (doctors certificate required) – Full credit
• In cases of bereavement – Full credit
• Notification schedule
  • Notification after camp start  – No credit
  • Within 24 hours of camp starting or prior to camp starting – Half credit
  • Notification 7+ days – Full credit

Please note, due to the nature of availability for camps, we offer credits only, no refunds.
