Spectres On The March Charge

इस लेख का हिस्सा

MELBOURNE – The Nunawading Spectres are joining the Cancer Council’s, The March Charge in support of Rachel Gill our incredible U12.4 Girls Head Coach and Spectres NBL1 South Photographer.

Prior to Christmas 2022, Rachel discovered a lump on her breast that was first considered non-sinister, however further examination confirmed that Rachel did in fact have breast cancer and would require an aggressive course of treatment, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Thanks to early identification and an immediate treatment plan, the prognosis looks great, however the intensity of the treatments will see Rachel sidelined for the current season with her energies required on a return to full health.

As an important member of our community, the Nunawading Spectres have thrown their support behind Rachel and The March Charge, a fun fitness challenge aimed in assisting research and treatment through the Cancer Council.

The Nunawading Spectres U12 Girls teams tipped things off Sunday with a 2km walk after their scheduled team sessions and invite the entire Nunawading Basketball community to join the charge with them.
