MELBOURNE – The Nunawading Spectres have re-signed sharpshooter Kingsley Box, the team announced today.

Box, 21, is widely regarded as one of the most promising perimeter scorers in the league and provides the Spectres with genuine shooting from the wing position.

“We’re excited to have Kingsley locked in for the NBL1 South 2023 season,” Nunawading Basketball Operations Manager Paul Flynn said. “He’s a highly motivated individual that wants to take his game to the next level, and we know we’re a program that can help him achieve that. Kingsley put in a mountain of work to recover from an early season injury that saw him sidelined for a large portion of the season. There’s a sense of unfinished business and we’re keen to help him maximise his potential in 2023.”

Box averaged 12.3 points and 2.6 rebounds across 9-games for the Spectres in 2022. He posted a season high 23-points against Ringwood on May 7 before sustaining a knee injury that saw him sidelined for the next 11-weeks.
