Additional Information
As the Victorian Junior Basketball League reviews its competition offerings, so too does Nunawading Basketball.
The VJBL recently communicated to associations some adjustments to its competition structure. As such, the Regional Development League which was piloted in 2025 will now be incorporated more broadly into VJBL competition (there will NOT be a separate RDL Tryout). The new competition now sits beneath VC and VJL as a third tier.
-
U12: VC → VJL1–5 → Regional League
-
U14: VC → VJL1–8 → Regional League
-
U16 & U18: VC → VJL1–5+ → Regional League
RL competitions will be organised into geographical pools, with reduced travel requirements compared to higher divisions
Tryouts for the following additional programs will be announced separately:
- Development Squad (U10)
Development Squad is for triple-bottom-age U12 athletes (Born 2018). This program will include 2 tournaments and 3x 5-week training blocks across the year. - U20 Teams
Please note: the above tryout schedule applies only to U12–U18 teams.
