Leia joins the Spectres

Nunawading, Victoria – Guard Leia Hafanin has signed with the Nunawading Spectres NBL1 South Women’s side for the 2026 season, the club is pleased to confirm.

The former Dandenong Ranger joins the Spectres after graduating from Saint Mary’s College of California in 2024. During her time in the NCAA Division I program, Hafanin averaged 3.2 points and 3.4 rebounds.

Spectres Head Coach Paul Flynn said Hafanin’s versatility and upside make her an exciting addition to the group.

“Leia adds real versatility to our offensive system. She has the ability to play multiple roles and positions, which gives us flexibility in how we structure lineups. Last season was unfortunately interrupted by injury, so we’re excited to see what she can produce at full health. At her best, she’s a player who can impact the game in a number of ways.”

Hanafin joins Eliza Hollingsworth, Keeley Frawley, Riley Lupfer, Rachel Antoniadou, Taylah Schmidtke, Kate Tanner and Kylee Blacksten as confirmed signings for the 2026 season.
