With the end of 2020 fast approaching, Nunawading Basketball is launching ‘Future Spectres’, a free 6-week online skills training program for domestic only players, born in 2010 or later who may be considering representative basketball in 2021.

There has not been a lot of basketball played this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and with a potential easing of restrictions on the horizon this program is a great way to get a ball back in the hands of our younger ballers in preparation for a return to the court!

Under the guidance of Spectres Under 12 Head Coaches Peter Rooke (Girls) and Steve Kennedy (Boys), the 2021 Spectres team coaches will provide expert teaching and coaching via dedicated Zoom video training sessions each week

No basketball ring? No problem! This program just focuses on teaching the correct fundamental skills that underpins success on the court. All your child needs access to in order to participate is:

  • A basketball (size 6 is preferred)
  • Enough space with a flat, hard surface in which a basketball can be bounced safely
  • A laptop or mobile device with video and internet capability

The program will tip-off at 11:00am on Sunday, 4 October 2020 and run every week for 6 weeks. Make sure you register to secure a place for your child and receive a Zoom video link via email along with further instructions.

The Nunawading Spectres are one of Australia’s most successful basketball programs, and we look forward to welcoming your child as we look to help them unlock their potential.
