MELBOURNE – The Nunawading Spectres have signed import Will Carius from Western Illinois University for the upcoming NBL1 South season, the club announced today.

Carius, a 6’7” Forward joins the Spectres following a successful collegiate career that saw him make 53 starts across his 2-years with the Leathernecks, averaging 14.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.

“We’re excited to add Will to our roster ahead of the NBL1 South season,” Nunawading Basketball Operations Manager Paul Flynn said. “Will adds size and versatility to the line up, with an ability to score in a variety of ways.”

The Spectres are piecing together an impressively balanced roster ahead of the 2023 season as they look to make a return to the playoffs having narrowly missed last year.
