Nunawading, Victoria – The Nunawading Spectres are delighted to announce that Paul Flynn will return as Head Coach of the NBL1 Women’s team for the 2026 season.

“I’m proud of the way our group continued to compete and represent the Nunawading Spectres brand last season. The challenge for us now is to raise the standard every day, in everything that we do. As a team, we have to care about doing things the right way, and that’s the foundation of everything we build on.”

The 2025 season saw Flynn provide opportunities for Spectres that are coming through the Nunawading Basketball pathway, with the likes of Zoe Shanahan, Teagan Potter, Natalie Kerian and Taia McMechan all developing their game further with the NBL1 women.

“I’m excited to continue leading this group. We’ve got a strong core of players who are committed to doing things the right way and an exciting wave of young talent coming through. Our goal is simple, to compete every possession, represent our club with pride, and keep moving this program forward.”

The Nunawading Spectres look forward to seeing how far Flynn can guide the NBL1 Women’s team next season, building on the resilience and competitiveness demonstrated in 2025.
